Sisters, embrace the fierce power that lies within you for it comes from everything we’ve been through! From being silenced to being marginalized, and oppressed. We have risen to become the lionesses with a voice that shakes the foundations of injustice and strength that defies the chains of oppression.
We’ve been through the crucible of colonialism, the fires of patriarchy, and the storms of discrimination. But we’ve emerged, scarred but unbroken, with a resilience that’s forged in the depths of our ancestors’ wisdom.
We’re the daughters of Yaa Asantewaa, of Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. We’re the keepers of the ancient traditions, the weavers of vibrant cultures, and the guardians of our children’s futures.
So let’s rise, my sisters, with a fierce determination to claim our rightful places. Let’s continue to shatter the glass ceilings of limitation, in our various fields of endeavours. Let’s unleash our creativity, our innovation, and our leadership.
We’re not just survivors; we’re thrivers. We’re not just victims; we’re victors. We’re the lionesses of Africa!
